Biografia

Jun Seba es un productor y Dj japones de hip-hop que graba bajo el nombre "Nujabes". Nujabes es un anagrama de su primer nombre (Jun) y su apellido (Seba) combinados y escritos en orden inverso.

Por otra parte también es propietario de "T Records" y "Guiness Records" (ambas, tiendas de discos en Shibuya, Tokio). Ha lanzado 2 álbumes en Japón, Metaphorical Music en 2003 y Modal Soul en 2005. También ha colaborado con su música la banda sonora de Samurai Champloo (con Shing02). Un anime situado en la época del Japón feudal con anacronisismos modernos, especialmente de música hip-hop.

Además de artistas japoneses como Uyama Hiroto, Shing02 y Minmi, ha colaborado también con hiphoperos americanos como CYNE, Anapi B, Five Deez, Substancial, y con el rapero británico Funky DL. Su música es conocida por una fuerte influencia de cool jazz, frecuentemente usando samples de artistas como Miles Davies, Path Metheny, y Yusef Lateef. Además es miembro del dúo de producción "Urbanforest", una colaboración experimental con Nao Tokui (apareciendo en Lady brown 12")
